Duties / Responsibilities
Responsible for collecting Ad
Valorem Taxes on property and land
(including mobile homes). Taxes become
due October 1st and are delinquent
January 1st. The delinquent period runs
from January 1st until April 30th.
Property taxes not paid in a timely
manner are sold at a tax sale each year
in April or May. The tax sale will be
advertised in the paper and held on the
front steps of the courthouse.
Taxes for mobile homes become due
October 1st and are delinquent Decemeber
1st of each year.
